The London Chamber Orchestra's (LCO) free performance at the National Gallery is just over a week away.
Taking place on Friday June 5th, the Composing Through Art free concert will feature compositions inspired by Agnolo Bronzino's painting An Allegory with Venus and Cupid.
Audiences will not be able to make advance bookings for the event, which will take place at 19:00 BST in the National Gallery's Room 8.
The six pieces selected for the concert will also be performed in front of the painting that inspired the event.
Students based their compositions on a study day on November 20th 2008, in which they examined the tone, harmony, composition and atmosphere of the painting.
The LCO will follow up their performance at the National Gallery on June 13th with a performance Coverwood Concerts in Surrey.
Tickets for this event cost £30 and have been available since April 1st.
