Hello everyone,

I'm Tim, and I write about contemporary music.

I've been very lucky and this hasn't cost me any friends, family or much money so far, but it is a curious addiction.

If you want to find out the sort of thing I do, most of it gets channelled through my blog, The Rambler , where you can also access lists of my writings and reviews.

During the day I work as a freelance editor for academics and arts organisations .

All the rest of the time I Tweet as @moderncomp while trying to keep up with my two-year-old daughter.
