Have any MusBookers experienced this place ? Le Poisson Rouge, in New York City, is described in this article as a “multimedia art cabaret”- where Xenakis and experimental Drum and Bass seem happily to co-exist, and where 'art and revelry' have a happy meeting place once more. Sounds too good to be true, is it? |

Yes, I heard about Poisson Rouge and went to have a look - it's very impressive indeed. And it's not too good to be true! There aren't enough venues IMHO that are 'genre-free'... you know, where you really don't have to worry about the programming being put into 'boxes'. It's all about the quality of the productions, and not about what label to stick on it. MB |

I've heard that Nonclassical in the UK is good... a label and a London club night... http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2007/jul/28/classicalmusicandopera.electronicmusic ______________________ Louise |
