The Charity Symphony Orchestra is a leading and successful fundraising ensemble based on the South Coast of England. The orchestra draws players from across the region and beyond from a pool of nearly 200 musicians from amateur and professional backgrounds. In 2011 the orchestra celebrated its 5 years of music making with the release of a live recording of Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 5

Everyone involved with the orchestra, players and management, donate their time and skill to the goal of raising as much money as possible for deserving causes. The orchestra is very sociable, providing an opportunity for members to keep in touch with friends and meet new people. It is a humbling experience to work with so many talented and enthusiastic musicians.

Our Mission: Our aim is to have fun through honest music making and raising money for people who need it.
History: Originally conceived by Southampton University music student Tom Horn, the orchestra's first concert in London during 2006 was a great success and since then the orchestra has gone from strength to strength. In 2008 the orchestra began a revamp to change it's image and at the end of the year the orchestra began it's first full season of concerts running from November to August. In the same year the orchestra was privileged to have renowned pianist and broadcaster David Owen Norris become its patron.
